HOW TO SET UP DISAPPEARING FOUNTAINS

Pick out your favorite glazed pot, sculpture, drilled basalt or granite piece
and turn it into a Disappearing Fountain.

With NorthSide's hidden water reservoir, it's easy!
Here's how to do it:

Drill a hole in the pot with a masonry bit.
Parts of the Connection Kit

Seal the bulkhead with industrial strength glue or epoxy.

Push the bulkhead through the pot and secure the nut with glue or epoxy.

Then stick the PVC pipe into the bulkhead.

Prepare the plumbing by attaching the hose to a "Y" style connector.

Cut the connectors to the correct size that will fit your hose.

Use silicone lubricant to attach hoses.
Apply s little force to get the hose onto the  connector.

It should fit snugly.

Be sure to use hose clamps to fasten the hose to the connectors so that they will not pop off.
Place concrete blocks in the basin to support the weight of the pots.
Cut out holes in the grate where the hose will pass through.
Lay the mesh over the grate and cut out holes for the hose to pass through.

Place the pots on the grate and pull the hose through the hole you just made.
Ensure that pots are level by using shims.

This is important to make sure that water flows out evenly on all sides, and  it keeps the pots from possibly falling over.

Pull the hose with connector from the pots to the grate access area.

Attach the pots to the "Y" connector and then attach it to the pump.
Attach the valve and second half of the PVC pipe.
Then cut off the PVC pipe just above the level of the pot.

This will give more height to the water coming out of the pot.

Spray paint the inside of the PVC pipe black so it remains hidden.
Add your favorite type of pebbles over the grate, fill with water, plug in, and...
... voila!

Sit back,
relax,
and enjoy your disappearing fountain!
